Spring Mountain Oolong

China. The character of a pot of tea tells a story about the leaf it originated from. The harder the tea plant struggles to grow, the more flavorful and tempered the finished brew becomes. Higher elevation with colder temperatures and thinner air produces an outstanding leaf. The steeped cup reflects a beautifully clear yet deep honey gold color; the nose is creamy sweet over a faint scent of rice flower bud. Warm butterscotch and caramel permeate the first mouthful with fruity undertones of honeydew melon and banana. The leaves continue to impart a dulcet palate to up to half a dozen steeps, easing into a sweetly fulfilling taper. Suggested brew temp of 185°F. Can be brewed multiple times.
